Once or twice a year for most South East London homes. Panels under trees, near busy roads or on shallow-pitch roofs collect more grime and benefit from two visits a year.
Yes. Dust, pollen, moss and bird droppings block light reaching the cells. Typical recovery after a clean is between 5% and 20% of lost output, depending on how dirty the array was.
You can, but it rarely ends well. Tap water leaves mineral spotting that shades the cells, and walking on a roof to reach panels is the main cause of cracked cells and slipped tiles.
Not with the right method. We use pure water, soft brushes and no detergents or pressure — the approach most panel manufacturers specify. Abrasive pads, jet washers and household cleaners are what cause damage.
Filtered pure water via a water-fed pole from ground level. It dries without spotting or residue, so nothing is left on the glass to shade the cells.
Every 4 to 8 weeks keeps residential glass looking its best. Commercial frontages are usually monthly. Properties near main roads or building work need the shorter interval.
Twice a year is ideal — late spring and after autumn leaf fall. Once a year is the minimum, and if you have mature trees overhanging the roof, twice is not optional.
Most roofs need treating every 3 to 5 years. North-facing slopes and shaded roofs regrow moss faster and are worth inspecting every other year.
Once a year for most properties. Shaded or north-facing paving grows algae faster and can become slippery within a single winter.
Gutters: autumn, once the leaves are down. Roof and soft washing: spring through early autumn, when treatments have time to work. Windows and solar panels: any time of year.
A telescopic pole feeds filtered pure water through a soft brush. The water lifts dirt and then dries with no spots or streaks, because every mineral has been filtered out of it. No detergents, no ladders.
Ladders are the biggest single risk in this trade, to our team and to your property and planting. Our poles reach up to 40ft and our gutter vacuum reaches four storeys, all from the ground.
Yes, for windows and gutters — rainwater is clean and does not undo the work. Roof treatments and soft washing are rescheduled, as they need dry conditions to take effect.
No. We carry our own filtered water and equipment. All we need is access to the outside of the property and unlocked side gates.
No. As long as we can reach the outside of the property, you don't need to be in. We message when we're on the way and again when the job is done.
Yes — £5m public liability insurance. It covers accidental damage to your property while we work. We're happy to email the certificate before your first visit.
Tell us within 48 hours and we come back and put it right, at no charge. We're a family-run local business with a regular round — reputation here is everything.
Yes. Gutter and roof jobs include camera photos before and after, so you can see exactly what was cleared without going up there yourself.
Card, bank transfer or cash on the day. An itemised invoice is emailed to you after every visit.
Gutter cleaning is priced per property, based on the size of your home, the length of guttering, and how accessible it is. A typical terraced or semi-detached home costs less than a large detached property with extensions or conservatories. We give free, written, no-obligation quotes — send us your address and we'll come back to you, usually the same day.
Roof cleaning is quoted after we've seen the property, as cost depends on roof size, pitch, tile type, and how heavy the moss growth is. A light algae treatment is very different from a full moss strip with gutter clearance afterwards. We'll assess it and give you a fixed written price before any work starts — no obligation.
Conservatory roof cleaning is priced per conservatory, depending on size, roof material (glass or polycarbonate), and whether you'd like the frames, finials and gutters cleaned at the same time. Most jobs are completed in a single visit. Get in touch with your address for a free written quote.
Send us your address by WhatsApp, call 07777 132814, or fill in the contact form. We'll confirm a date with you — most jobs are booked within the same week.
Usually just a few days. We can often fit in short-notice work if you're flexible, and for regular window cleaning we'll agree a recurring slot so you don't have to ask each time.
Bank transfer or cash, payable once the job is finished and you're happy with it.
Just let us know 24 hours ahead if you need to move the date — no charge, and we'll rebook you for the next available slot.
